Meet my friend Andrea. She convinced me to, just for a day, focus my camera on landscapes instead of people. She reminded me that every once in a while (read: often) you have to step out of what's familiar and try something new.
Last month, Andrea invited me to ride with her around Minneapolis to do some shooting. This week we met up and shot a few of the Minneapolis staples, like:
The skyline,
Saint Anthony Falls,
and the Mill City Museum.
I'll admit, and she'll attest, that I constantly mentioned how I prefer shooting people. So I snuck some shots in.
I definitely see myself doing a little more landscape photography in the future, but I know my heart is in capturing moments with people. Thankfully, I will be doing a lot of that in the upcoming month.
P.S. Andrea owns Yarning Bee, a budding, small business that creates amazing hand-knit and hand-crocheted items. Check her out and support her work: https://yarningbee.wordpress.com
